Department 01 — Translations

The Jargon Decoder

AI news is written for robots, by robots. Tap any word the industry loves and we’ll translate it into something your group chat would actually understand.

No translation on file for that one. Try “agent” or “model.”

Chris Coyne — translator-in-chief

Chris Coyne is a two-time Daytime Emmy-nominated sound editor (Puss in Boots, 2018; Elena of Avalor, 2019), a Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel nominee, and an MIT Professional Education graduate in no-code AI and machine learning.

He spent years as a stay-at-home dad — which he says is the best possible training for explaining impossible things to skeptical humans. He founded Meta-Stamp, a company building a tamper-proof ledger of what AI agents were allowed to do versus what they actually did.

On AI Daily, he points at the day’s loudest AI headlines and says the quiet part out loud: what it means, who it affects, and why your group chat should care.
